Abundio Gonzales Alburo

Abundio "Bonnie" Gonzales Alburo, 69, of Clifton passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Born in Surigao del Norte, Philippines, he traveled all over the world as a seaman prior to settling in the U.S. after 1985. Bonnie lived in Paterson for 15 years before moving to Clifton in 1998. He was owner and operator of D'Alburo's Luncheonette on Main St. in Paterson for 10 years. Bonnie was well known in his community for his delicious cooking and catering of Filipino cuisine. He was a member of the Bukas Loob Sa Diyos Community (BLD). He was predeceased by his loving wife, Eutiquia (nee Mantillo), in 2013.
Survivors include: his children Danah, Diane, Dorothy, Dave, and Donald Alburo, all of Clifton and Anthony Williams and his wife Latsamy, of Crestwood, Kentucky; his sisters Aurecia Turner, of Arizona, Arlene Mejia, of the Philippines, Pomposa Consigna of the Philippines, Analyn McDaniel of Derry, Pennsylvania; and by his grandchildren Anthony, Thomas and Isabella Williams.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 9:15 am at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home; 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5-9 pm at the funeral home.
