Albert B. Sova

Albert Sova passed away Monday October 1, 2018. He lived the majority of his life in Clifton, New Jersey moving to Jackson, NJ in 1994. He is predeceased by his wife Helen who passed away in 2006.
Albert was born in Clifton to his parents Andrew and Veronika in 1931. As most in his generation, life was of humble and modest means. Albert grew up with four siblings, sister Irene and brothers Andrew, Emil and Joseph who have all predeceased Albert. Albert had several passions in life. First, Albert was an avid horseman. During his early life, Albert spent many hours at his brother Joseph's farm in Clifton. It is at this farm, Albert learned to ride horses and tend animals. His love of horses continued throughout his adult life with many trips with his family to "Dude Ranches".
Another passion of his was dancing. Albert met the love of his life, Helen, at a dance in Garfield, NJ. Albert and Helen were eventually married and continued their love of dancing throughout their marriage.
His other passion was travelling. Albert and Helen travelled throughout their marriage to locales including the U.S. National Parks, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean and many destinations in Europe. Even later in his life, Albert was always at the ready for a road trip.
In his early adult years, Albert worked for several businesses as a Machinist. During his marriage to Helen, he financed his own education and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked for Western Electric and AT&T on submarine repeaters for the telecommunication industry, retiring after 30 years in 1996.
While living in Clifton, Albert was a communicant of St Cyril and Methodius Church. In Jackson, Albert was a parishioner of St. Aloysius.
Albert is survived by his sons Robert of Jackson, Allen and his daughter in-law, Susan of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. Visiting will be Thursday 5-8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave, Clifton. Funeral Friday 9:15 am from the funeral home and followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am at Ss. Cyril and Methodius RC Church, 218 Ackerman Avenue, Clifton. Entombment St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, Saddle Brook.
