Alfonso Matthew Magliacane, 97, of Wayne, formerly of Clifton, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Born in Passaic, Mr. Magliacane resided in Clifton for 65 years. More recently, he has been living in Wayne. Before retirement, he was employed with Denman & Davis Co. of Clifton, retiring in 1990.
Mr. Magliacane was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Passaic. He was a United States Navy veteran who served honorably during World War II from 1942 to 1946.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Elizabeth (nee Verones) in 2013 and his brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: two daughters, Donna Klimek and her husband Stanley of Stanhope, NJ and Nancy Britton of Pompton Plains; four grandchildren, Christopher Britton and his wife Jamie, Jessica Murin and her husband Chad, Valerie Britton and her husband Lucas Shuman and Lisa Klimek; and three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Michael and Drew Britton.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
