Anna (nee Kovach) Farkas, 89, of Cedar Grove passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2017.
Born in Budapest, Hungary she came to the United States in 1969 settling first in Passaic and then moving to Cedar Grove. Anna was a nursing technician at the former Beth Israel Hospital, Passaic before her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Stephen's R.C. Church, Passaic and was a former member of the American Hungarian Citizens League, Garfield.
She is survived by three sons, Karoly Viczian and his wife, Gina of Sandy, Utah, Peter Farkas and his wife, Evelyn of North Caldwell, NJ and Gabor Farkas and his wife, Candy of Pueblo, Colorado; one step-daughter, Elizabeth Bailey and her husband, Tom of Salem, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Alyssa Farkas, Adam Farkas, Kayden Viczian and Karley Viczian.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Funeral services Wednesday 9:15 am at the funeral home and 10:00 am Mass at St. Stephen's R.C. Church, 223 Third Street, Passaic, NJ 07055. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
