Anna Skurla

Anna (nee Seyka) Skurla, 90, of Garfield, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018. Born in Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Skurla came to the United States in 1946 settling first in Passaic before moving to Garfield in 1954. She retired in 1990 as a Film Technician with Micrographics Co. of Garfield where she was employed for 18 years.
Mrs. Skurla was a faithful parishioner of Ss. Peter & Paul R.O. Cathedral in Passaic and a member of the Garfield Seniors.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Skurla in 1992 and her brother, John Seyka in 2012.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Ann Connolly and her husband, John of Arizona and Joane Dennhardt and her husband, James Pepitone of West Milford; one son, John Skurla of Garfield; four grandchildren, John Connolly, Carey Ann Blumberg and her husband, Steven, Robert Dennhardt and Nicole Dennhardt; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Tyler Blumberg.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Parastas service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by 10:00 am Services at Ss. Peter & Paul R.O. Cathedral, 200 Third Street, Passaic. Interment to follow at Ss. Peter & Paul R.O. Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
