Bob Zschack

Robert Zschack, 80, of Clifton, "The Voice of the Mustangs", went silent on June 12 at home surrounded by loved ones.
Bob was a lifelong Clifton resident who was actively involved in the community. Bob received his Bachelors of Science degree from Montclair University in 1958 and two days later married Marlene, his loving wife of fifty-six years. He was a well-respected teacher within the Clifton School district for thirty-eight years, working in both the high school and Woodrow Wilson School. Bob earned the endearing nickname, "The Voice of the Mustangs", by announcing the Clifton High School football games for forty-five years. He also served as an active member of the Clifton Education Foundation for many years. Bob and his family spent many memorable summers as the Camp Director at Camp Michikamau. He was considered a jack of all trades spending time as a magician and a photographer. Bob is loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, Mary (nee O'Leary) and William Zschack, and a son, Peter Zschack.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene (nee Jaorsky), of Clifton; his sister, Marion Mascone and her husband, Richard, of Clifton; four sons: Paul and his wife, Jane, of Shoreham, NY, Mark and his wife, Aimee, of Franklin, NJ, Thomas and his wife, Cynthia, of Orange, CT and Matthew and his wife, Joanna, of Clifton; as well as twelve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 10:15 am from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton and 11:00 am at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Clifton. Private cremation to follow. Visiting will be Monday from 2:00-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Clifton Education Foundation, P.O. Box 2071, Clifton, NJ 07015 would be preferred and appreciated.
