Carmela Millie Puleo

Carmela (Millie) Puleo, 93, of Clifton, passed away on Saturday August 12, 2017. Born in Passaic, Millie resided in Clifton for most of her life. Before her retirement, Mille was employed as a bookkeeper with Popular Club Plan in Garfield for 42 years. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton. Millie was a member of the Valley Senior Leisure Club in Clifton and a founding member of the Capricorn Club.
Millie travelled extensively throughout the world with her best friend Nancy Lavorgna. She was loved by her family for her warm and loving personality.
Millie was predeceased by her parents, Bartolo and Mary (nee Sammarco) Puleo.
Survivors include: her dear brother, Domenic Puleo and his wife Angela; her nephew, Robert Puleo and his wife Lyn; two nieces, Donna Puleo and her partner Deborah Tonnessen and Diane Fiebel and her husband John; her grandnephew, Kyle Fiebel; two grandnieces, Kimberly Pomroy and her husband Steven and Casey Puleo and her husband Edward Triggs; one great-grandniece, Mackenzie Pomroy; one great-grandnephew, Mason Pomroy and many loving cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
