Carmine F. Simone, Jr., 58, of Clifton, passed away on May 28, 2018. Born in Kearny, Mr. Simone was raised in Lyndhurst and then Wayne where he resided before moving to Clifton in 1992. Mr. Simone was employed by the Clifton Board of Education as a custodian at school number 5. Previously, he was employed as a spackler with the Int'l. Union of Painters and Allied Trades Council #711 of Springfield.
He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed gardening and animals.
He was predeceased by his parents, Carmine F. Simone, Sr. and Mary (nee Maher).
Survivors include: his beloved wife, Cheryl (nee Applegate) Simone; his devoted son, Carmine F. Simone, III; his brother, Ralph Simone and his wife, Carol of Honesdale, PA; one sister, Angela Greco of Michigan; his nieces and nephews, Dawn Colli, Tracy Sanders, Tammy, Tanya, Tiffany, Anthony and five other nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews, Michael Colli, Sofia Colli, Jase Sanders, Acie, Daytona and Angelo Longo; his brother-in-law, Albert Longo and wife Tara: and one sister-in-law, Bonnie DeWitt.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 5 to 9 pm at Chestnut Café and Eatery, 338 Passaic Avenue, Nutley, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to any wildlife foundation or animal shelter. Arrangements are by Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
