Catherine Cowan Obituary
Catherine (nee Stefanucci) Cowan, of Clifton, died, Thursday, November 28, 2013.
Born in Garfield, NJ she resided in Clifton most of her life, moving to Fairways at Lake Ridge, Lakewood, NJ fourteen years ago. Mrs. Cowan was a coordinator at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Paterson for many years before retiring in 1985. She was a former Girl Scout Leader at St. Andrew The Apostle Church, Clifton, and was a member of Fairways Garden Club, Lakewood and a volunteer at Kimble Medical Center, Lakewood.
She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-seven years, George L. Cowan, June 13, 2013.
She is survived by two children, Kathleen Sznerch and her husband, Walter of Wallington and George R. Cowan and his wife, Susan of Clifton; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass 9:00 am Tuesday at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 181 Market St., Passaic. Please meet at Church. Interment to Follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. No Viewing Hours. Arrangements are by Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ.
