Daniel A. Petrasek

Daniel A. Petrasek, 90, passed away on July 7, 2018.
Daniel was born and lived in Clifton before becoming a resident at Sunrise of Paramus in October 2017.
Daniel married Anne Bigos in 1950 and they opened the Lexington Floral Shoppe, Clifton in 1957. They worked at the florist together until their retirement in 1986. They enjoyed retirement spending four months a year vacationing in Madeira Beach, Florida. He was a faithful parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, Clifton where he was the caller at Saturday night Bingo for many years and was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols Assembly 162.
Daniel was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Anne (nee Bigos); two daughters, Diane and Marie Petrasek; and two brothers, John and Joseph Petrasek.
He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Homisak and her husband, Thomas of Saddle Brook.
Joyce and Tom thank the staff at Sunrise of Paramus for their loving and compassionate care.
Visitation on Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Funeral service Wednesday 9:15 am at the funeral home and 10:00 am Mass at Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, Ackerman Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook
