Desmond Suto

Desmond Suto, 90, of Highland Lakes, formerly of Clifton, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2018.
Born and raised in Garfield, Mr. Suto lived in Clifton for most of his life before moving to Highland Lakes in 1999. Prior to retiring, he had been employed with the City of Clifton Department of Public Works as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over forty years. Mr. Suto was a proud Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post #347 and a Life-Member of VFW Post 7165, both in Clifton.
Mr. Suto was predeceased by a son, Joseph Suto in 2001 and by his three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly seventy years, Rose Marie (nee Dani), of Highland Lakes; four children: Dennis Suto and his wife, Julieann, of Clifton, Kathy Lodato and her husband, Bob, of North Carolina, Helen Bresnak of Idaho and Barbara Suto, also of Idaho; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be Monday 4-8 pm with a funeral service to be held at 8:00 pm at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
