Dieter K. Polednik

Dieter K. Polednik, 82 of Clifton, NJ passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2019. Born in Germany, he came to the United States as a young man settling in the Passaic-Clifton area. Dieter was the owner of Biertuempfel Ostertag Agency, Union, NJ for many years before retiring. He was a member of Workmen's Benefit Fund of the USA, Farmingdale, NY and Recreation Farm Society.
Mr. Polednik was predeceased by his parents, Franz and Magdalena (nee Spintzyk) Polednik.
He is survived by his wife, Christa (nee Loeffler) Polednik; his children, Frank Polednik of Clifton, Doris Levinn and her husband, Mitch of East Nassau, NY, Eric Polednik and his wife, Susan of New York City and Roy Polednik of Clifton; one brother, Winfried Polednik of Germany; and seven grandchildren, Ben Levinn and his wife, Megan, Sandra and Carolyn Levinn, Amanda, Katherine, Daniel and Alexander Polednik.
Memorial Mass 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Brendan R.C. Church, corner of Lakeview Avenue and Crooks Avenue, Clifton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to a charity of your choice would be preferred and appreciated. Please visit www.bizub for online condolences.
