Dolores A. Dubravsky

Dolores A. (nee Bode) Dubravsky, passed away at the Hackensack University Medical Center on September 6, 2017 at the age of 71 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of retired Clifton Fire Chief John E. Dubravsky.
Dolores was born in Passaic to Hugo and Stella (nee Starniola) Bode and resided in Lodi, NJ. She was married on August 17, 1969 at St. Francis de Sales Church, Lodi and resided in Clifton with her husband and children. Loving mother of John C. Dubravsky and Steven and his wife, Debra Dubravsky. Cherished grandmother of Kelsey and Addison. Dear sister of Nancy Reilly and her husband Thomas. Predeceased by her brother Brian Bode and her uncle John Starniola. Also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
Dolores graduated from Lodi High School in 1964. She received a degree from Immaculate Conception College, Lodi in 1966 and also attended Seton Hall University. She taught elementary school at St. Francis de Sales School in Lodi and at St. Philip School in Clifton. Later in life, she was employed as a Dental Assistant to Dr. Maurice Fernhoff, Ackerman Ave., Clifton and Delta Dental in Parsippany.
Dolores was a wonderful, kind and caring wife and mother. She loved to spend time with her granddaughters playing games, drawing and crafts. When she was in better health, she loved to cook wonderful meals for her family, and was always more concerned about the well being of her family than herself. She enjoyed preparing for the holidays, especially Christmas.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:00 am from the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. John Kanty R.C. Church, 49 Speer Ave., Clifton. Entombment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
