Dorothy Holovach

Dorothy (nee Labanick) Holovach, 94, of Clifton died Thursday, May 10, 2018.
Born in Passaic, Mrs. Holovach resided in Clifton for most of her life. She had been employed in the Packaging Department of Hoffman- La Roche Co., formerly of Nutley, for 51 years, retiring in 1986. She was a parishioner of Ss. Peter & Paul's RO Cathedral, Passaic and was a member of the Hoffman- LaRoche Retirees Club.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, Emil ("Doc"), who passed away in 2004, for over 50 years. She and her sister, the late Julie Holovach, married brothers, Emil and Daniel, in a double ring ceremony in 1946.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Holovach was predeceased by her parents, Justina (nee Milan) and George Labanick; her brother, Michael Labanick, in 1985, her four sisters, Mary Mahonchak, in 2012, Anna Kopec, Helen Pyda and Julie Holovach.
Survivors include her nephews, John Holovach of Wyckoff and George Labanick of Inman, SC; nieces, Laura Stiansen of Haskell, Peggy Ferriera of Charlotte, VT, Suzette Kopec of Tucson, AZ and Linda Glab of Garfield. A special acknowledgement to the caring staff at Hamilton Plaza Nursing Center for their care of Dorothy.
Visitation will be from 9-10 am Tuesday at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Service at Ss. Peter & Paul's RO Cathedral, 200 Third St., Passaic. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Garfield. Memorial Contributions to Ss. Peter & Paul's RO Cathedral would be appreciated.
