Douglas E. Jaeger

Douglas E. Jaeger, 74, of Rockaway, formerly of Fairfield, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017.
Born in Glen Ridge, Mr. Jaeger was raised in Bloomfield where he resided for many years. Mr. Jaeger lived in Fairfield for 34 years before moving to Rockaway two years ago. Before his retirement, he was employed with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Newark Division from 1961-1998. Douglas was a former parishioner of St. Thomas More Church, Fairfield. He was a member of the Army National Guard of NJ and was known to be a huge Doo-Wop fan with an extensive record collection.
He is predeceased by his parents, Frederick Hurley Jaeger and Bertha Cecelia (nee Eddy) Jaeger.
Survivors include: his beloved wife, the former Laraine Forte; one devoted son, Michael Douglas Jaeger and his wife, Jamie; his loving grandson, Colton Douglas Jaeger; and his brother, Frederick Hurley Jaeger, II.
Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services are Tuesday 10:45 am from the funeral home and 11:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center, 475 South Street, First Floor, Morristown, NJ 07960.
