Edith M. Szabanos

Edith M. (nee Kraiger) Szabanos, 90, of Howell, NJ formerly of Clifton passed away Monday, July 10, 2017.
Born in Paterson she resided in Clifton until moving to South Carolina in 2000. In 2015 she moved to Howell, NJ. Edith was a sewing machine operator for Saltz & Sons, Wallington retiring in 1989, previously she was employed at NJ Sports Wear, Passaic for twenty-five years. Mrs. Szabanos was a former parishioner of St. Brendan R.C. Church, Clifton.
She is predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Szabanos (2012); her parents, Jacob and Mary (nee Kummer) Kraiger; two brothers, Edward and John Kraiger; and her sister, Florence Kutcha.
Her survivors include her son, Charles Szabanos and his wife, Theresa of Pleasureville, KY; her daughter, Mary E. Bendlin and her fiancé, Bob Linker of Howell, NJ; five grandchildren, Paul, Christine, Scott, Erica and Jessica; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours Thursday 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ. Funeral Service 9:15 am Friday from the Funeral Home and 10:00 am Mass at St. Paul R.C. Church, 124 Union Avenue, Clifton. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
