Edna M. Enchelmaier, 86, of Montville, NJ and Monterey Beach, NJ was born at home in North Arlington. She moved with her family to Little Falls where she graduated from Passaic Valley High School. She married William J. Enchelmaier and moved to Cedar Grove then later to North Caldwell where they raised their family. She was a member of Chapel on the Hill in Cedar Grove, serving as co-chairperson of the Ladies Fellowship ministry for over 30 years. She was also active in other Christian organizations serving as chairperson of the Christian Women's Club of Greater Essex, Youth for Christ and as a board member of The Urban LifeSource Connection.
She started a custom frame shop and art gallery with her friend in Montclair known as "The Final Touch". After retirement, she devoted much of her time to ministry efforts and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter at the family beach house. One of her greatest joys was sitting on the deck watching the sunset over the bay surrounded by friends and family.
She was predeceased by her son, William Frederick "Rick" Enchelmaier; her parents, Philip and Julia (nee Alessio) La Bruto and by her two sisters, Martha Karas and Millie Francisco.
She is survived by her son. D. Scott Enchelmaier and his wife, Karen; her daughter in law, Gale Sacco; her brother, Philip La Bruto and his wife, Sandy; her sister, Evelyn La Bruto; her four grandchildren, Nichole L. Enchelmaier, W. Christopher Enchelmaier, Alison C. Enchelmaier and Lindsey C. Enchelmaier and her great granddaughter, Emilia Louise Lavalle.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, Oct, 27, 2018 at Chapel on the Hill in Cedar Grove. A private family entombment will follow.
