Elizabeth Janish

Janish - Elizabeth (nee Erli), 91, of Clifton, died on Jan. 27, 2010. Born in Perth Amboy, Mrs. Janish moved with her family to Homerod, Romania at the age of two. She returned to the U.S. as a teenager to the Passaic area and has lived in Clifton for 65 years. Before her retirement, she was employed with Botany Woolen Mills and Armour Star Co., both in Passaic. Mrs. Janish was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Passaic and a member of the Botany Village Leisure Club.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anton Janish in 2003; her daughter, Judith Janish; two brothers, Andrew and John Erli and two sisters, Katherine Valian and Mary Resch.
Survivors include: two sons, Joseph Janish and his wife, Angela of Clifton and James Janish and his wife, Lauren of Garfield; one brother, Joseph Erli of Elmwood Park; four grandchildren, Joseph Janish, Jr., Christopher Janish, Jill Sproviero and Jayne Tanis; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday 8:15 am from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton and 9:00 am at Holy Trinity RC Church, cor. of Hope Ave. and Harrison St., Passaic. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity RC Church, 226 Harrison St., Passaic, NJ 07055.
