Frank Neceskas

Frank Neceskas, 95, of Little Falls passed away on June 10, 2017.
Born and raised in Scranton, PA, Mr. Neceskas moved to Paterson when he was eighteen and then to New York City during World War II and then to Passaic in 1954 where he lived until moving to Little Falls nineteen years ago. Prior to retiring in 1986, he had been employed as a Machine Operator with Curtiss-Wright Aeronautics in Wood-Ridge for 35 years. Mr. Neceskas was a proud World War II Veteran of the US Army serving in the 610 Tank Destroyer Unit under Gen. Patton, seeing action at the Battle of the Bulge amongst others, and receiving 5 Battle Stars. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton and was a member of American Legion Post 347, Clifton.
Mr. Neceskas was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (nee Moser) in 2011; his daughter, Barbara Horvath; and three sisters: Helen Sulinski, IreneNeceskas Tatascoire and Donna McCarthy.
Survivors include: two sons: Larry Neceskas and his wife, Fran, of Fairfield and Ed Neceskas of Atlanta, GA; son-in-law Ed Horvath of Toms River; five grandchildren: Rick Horvath (Kathy), Scott Horvath (Naga), Jacalyn Neceskas, Andrea Bassin (Michael) and Lauren Benedetti (Vinicius); and five great-grandchildren: Eric and Zachary Horvath, Bethany and Joshua Horvath and Remington Bassin.
Funeral services will be 9:15am Wednesday from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton and 10:00am at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery. So. Hackensack. Visiting Tuesday 5-8pm.
