George Tafankaji

George Tafankaji, 70, of Egg Harbor Twp., formerly of Clifton passed away on March 16, 2018.
Born and raised in Damascus, Syria, Mr. Tafankaji came to the United States in 1980, living mostly in Clifton before moving to Egg Harbor Twp. six years ago. He was
the owner of George's Auto Service located at 1260 Main Ave. in Clifton for many years.
Mr. Tafankaji was predeceased by a dearly missed son, Michael Joseph Tafankaji on March 23, 2016 and by his parents, Michael and Mary (nee Dalal) Tafankaji.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet (nee Ghandour) Tafankaji, of Egg Harbor Twp.; two devoted children: Freddy Tafankaji and his wife, Andrea, of Egg Harbor Twp. and Fadia Tafankaji of Paterson; and two cherished grandchildren: Nicholas George and Freddy Tafankaji.
Visiting will be Monday 5-9 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be Tuesday beginning 9:15 am at the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. Ann Melkite Church, 802 Rifle Camp Road, Woodland Park. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
