Giovanni LoConte

Giovanni LoConte, 86, of Clifton, passed away on April 7, 2018. Born in Mussomeli, Sicily, Mr. LoConte served in the Italian Air Force. He came to the United States on May 19, 1966 settling in Passaic. He has resided in Clifton since 1994. Before his retirement, Mr. LoConte was employed with Missbrenner Co. of Clifton.
Survivors include: his beloved wife, Carmelina (nee DiGesu); three children, Fran Wetzel and her husband Dennis of Point Pleasant, Enza Paranto and her husband Tom of Wilmington, NC and Joseph LoConte and his wife Reina of Andover, NJ; his son-in-law, Daniel Sienkiewicz; thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two sisters, Giuseppina Puntrello and Carmela Piazza, both of Mussomeli, Sicily; and one brother, Francesco LoConte of Clifton.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Nina Sienkiewicz; three brothers, Sebastiano, Vincenzo and Giuseppe LoConte; and one sister, Maria Azzarello.
Visiting will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will held Wednesday 9:15 am from the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Paterson. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorial contributions.
