Harry Hey Obituary

Harry Van Der Hey, 81, of Clifton, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018. Born and raised in Paterson, Mr. Van Der Hey resided in Clifton since the 1960's. Before retirement, he was employed as a salesman with Crane Chevrolet in Clifton. Previously, he was a real estate salesman in the Passaic County area. Mr. Van Der Hey was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served active duty from 1956 to 1959 and then in the Reserves until 1962.
Mr. Van Der Hey loved antique cars, especially antique muscle cars. He was also an avid baseball fan. Mainly a fan of the N.Y. Mets, he also rooted for the N.Y. Yankees.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan (nee Pierce) in 2001.
Survivors include: his devoted son and daughter-in-law, Harry, Jr., and his wife, Tara; four sisters, Pearl Smith, May Roughgarden, Patricia Lesch and Eleanor Platvoet; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. The funeral service will be held Monday 11:30 am at the funeral home followed by entombment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
