Harry J. Weir

Harry J. Weir, 94, of Effort, Pa., formerly of Clifton, NJ, passed away on April 21, 2018. Born in Paterson, Mr. Weir resided in Clifton for most of his life before moving to Effort, PA in 1989. Before his retirement, he was employed as a newspaper advertising salesman in East Orange. Mr. Weir was a proud United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 927 of Gilbert, Pa.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jane (nee Lok) Weir in 2015; one son, Harry Weir; and one daughter, Deborah Tyhala and her husband, Andrew.
Survivors include: one daughter, Linda Lomauro and her husband Carl of Effort, Pa.; one son, Robert Weir (Tracy Coates) of Clifton; one brother, William Weir of Toms River, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be Friday 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by the interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.
