James "Jimmy" Corsi

James "Jimmy" Corsi, 92, of Berkeley Township passed away July 16, 2017 after a brief illness.
James was born in Bloomfield and grew up in the Silver Lake section of Belleville. He resided in Clifton for 60 years before retiring to Toms River. He was a veteran of World War II serving in North Africa, Italy and France.
After the war, James joined his father, brothers, and brother-in-law in Louis Corsi and Sons Construction Company. The company built hundreds of homes for returning veterans throughout New Jersey.
Later, the family owned and operated the Corsair Motel in Hollywood, Florida and the Plantation Restaurant in Fairfield, New Jersey.
James was predeceased by his wife Frances; his brother Frank Corsi; his sister Stella Giampapa; and son-in-law, Paul Tronio.
He is survived by his brother Fred Corsi; his sister, Phyllis Visco; his daughter, Janice Conti Tronio; his sons and their spouses, James and Denise Corsi and David and Ellen Corsi; as well as his grandchildren, Nicole Rodriguez, Lindsay Blevins, Michael Corsi, Lisa Turner and Robert Corsi; and his great-grandchildren, Dakota, Logan, Riley and Addison Blevins, Dominic, Alex, Nico and Gianna Rodriguez and Connor and Brandon Corsi.
Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home followed by the interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
