James Patrick Dowd

James Patrick Dowd, 69, of Clifton, formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2018.
Born and raised in Jersey City, Mr. Dowd lived in Staten Island for forty years before moving to Clifton June 1, 2017. Prior to retiring, he had been employed as a Laboratory Technician with Imperial Chemical Industries in Bayonne. He was a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church in Clifton.
Mr. Dowd was predeceased by his parents, John Joseph and Margaret (nee Murphy) Dowd.
He is survived by his wife, Digna (nee Ortizo) Dowd, of Clifton; his two sons: Brian Dowd and his wife, Amy, of White Plains, NY and John Dowd and his wife, Karla, of Wayne; his sister, Maureen Gallucci, of Leonia, and three grandchildren: Claire, Emily and Thomas Dowd.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be Saturday 10:15 am from the funeral home and 11:00 am at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Clifton. Private cremation to follow.
