JOHN MIKULA, 101, of Clifton died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017.
Born in Sand Coulee, MT, he came to Clifton as a young boy and lived here ever since. He was employed as a Truck Driver with Mikula Contracting of Clifton before his retirement. He was a proud veteran of the US Army during World War II and saw many battles including Okinawa, where he was injured in battle and received a Purple Heart.
He was predeceased by his two wives, Irene (nee Markovich) in 1958 and Lois (nee Bruining) in 1991, his four brothers: Andrew, Mike, George and Nick Mikula; and one sister, Mary Mikula.
Survivors include his sister, Betty Goodman of Boynton Beach, Fla. and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Wednesday at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Cem., Totowa. Visitation on Tuesday from 4-8 pm. Visit www.bizub.com for driving directions/ online condolences.
