John R. Mulligan

Mulligan - John R., 68, of Woodland Park, formerly of Clifton, passed away on May 10, 2017. Born in Hoboken, Mr. Mulligan was raised in Fair Lawn. He resided in Clifton for 40 years before moving to Woodland Park 5 years ago. Before his retirement, he was employed as a manager with the Blood Center of New Jersey in Orange. Previous employment was with Community Blood Services, formerly of Paramus.
Mr. Mulligan was a die-hard fan of the New York Yankees. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed books by Stephen King and Robert Ludlum.
Survivors include: his beloved wife, Joan (nee Barberra) Mulligan; his two devoted daughters, Carriann DeSanto and her husband Robert of Scotch Plains and Shannon Mulligan-Mayernik and her husband Matt of North Haledon; and three loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Isabella and Jake DeSanto.
Visiting will be held Saturday from 2 to 5 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A prayer service will be held at 4:30 pm. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
