John Muoio

JOHN MUOIO, 85, of Singac Section of Little Falls, died Tuesday.
Born in Singac, he was a lifelong Little Falls resident. He retired as Vice President of Lloyd Engineering Co. of Belleville. Previously, he was Production Manager with Falls Metal Works and his first job was at Beattie Carpet Mills, both in Little Falls. Mr. Muoio fought combat in the US Army during the Korean War with the Third Division.
Mr. Muoio was a parishioner and usher for over 45 years at Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls at the 6:30 pm Sunday Mass. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #3835 of Little Falls; Past Assistant Chief for Singac Fire Co. #3 of the Little Falls Fire Department where he was a member for 42 years; Member of Little Falls and New Jersey Exempt Fireman's Associations; Quartermaster of Passaic Valley Memorial Post #7506 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was Finance Officer for Singac Post #108 of the American Legion.
He was predeceased by his parents, Domenico and Rachela (nee Ruffalo) Muoio; by his sister, Katherine Anzaldo and by his three brothers, Vincent, Joseph and Frank Muoio.
Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, the former Angelina Nisi; his two sons, John D. Muoio and his wife, Joanne of Morristown, NJ and Joseph V. Muoio and his wife, Theresa of Little Falls; his five grandchildren, John R., Nicholas A., Joseph T., Natalie and Vincent M. Muoio; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral Services will be 9:15 am Friday from Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls and 10:00 am at Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main St., Little Falls. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visitation on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
