Joseph R. Buffa

Joseph R. Buffa, 84, of Garfield passed away peacefully on March 1, 2018.
Born in Rahway, Mr. Buffa resided there before moving to Garfield forty years ago. He retired in 2013 from the Nutley Park Shop Rite. Previously he was Director of Security at Passaic General Hospital in Passaic, retiring from there in 1998. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church in Clifton and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #46 and Unico International. Mr. Buffa was U.S. Army veteran serving from 1953 to 1956.
Mr. Buffa was predeceased by his sister, Fran.
He is survived by his beloved wife of forty years, Luba (nee Zolotarow) of Garfield; his three devoted daughters: Jerri-Ann of Nebraska, Tracy, also of Nebraska and Darlene of Idaho; his dear brother, Christopher Buffa, of South Jersey; six cherished grandchildren and one adored great-granddaughter.
Visiting will be Monday from 2-5 pm at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:30 am from the funeral home and 10:00 am at Sacred Heart RC Church, cor. Clifton and Randolph Avenues, Clifton. Interment East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
