JOSEPH S. GLODAVA, 89, of SADDLE BROOK died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at home.
Born in Nizne Lapse, Poland, Mr. Glodava came to the United States in 1932 settling first in Clifton before moving to Saddle Brook sixty years ago. He retired as a Chemical Operator with Givaudan Co. of Clifton.
Mr. Glodava was a veteran of the United States Army stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was a parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton and a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols, Assembly #162.
He was predeceased by his sister, Mary T. Pituch- Mancin and his three brothers, John, Steven and Daniel Glodava.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Brenda (nee Guarino); his sister, Sr. M. Marie Glodava, OSF of Reading, Pa.; his brother, Anthony Glodava of Clifton and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Thursday from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton and 11:00 am at Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, 218 Ackerman Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at St. Nicholas Cem., Lodi. Visitation on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. www.bizub.com for driving directions/ online condolences.
