Josephine Federico

JOSEPHINE (nee LATONA) FEDERICO, 97, of Little Falls died Tuesday.
Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Mrs. Federico resided in Little Falls for over 40 years. She had been employed as a manager at Loft's Candy of Passaic. Mrs. Federico was also a secretary for her husband's business, Thomas Federico, Architect of Paterson. She was a also a part time singer in local restaurants. As a child, Mrs. Federico was "Little Miss Progresso" and was a contestant in the Miss America Contest.
Mrs. Federico was a member of the Little Falls Women's Club.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Federico, in 2002; by her granddaughter, Joan Colleen Niemczyk, in 1993; by her brother, Joseph Latona and her sister in law, Nancy Latona.
Survivors include: her daughter, Joan Niemczyk and her husband, Henry of Wayne; her son, Thomas Federico and his wife, Antoinette of Estero, Fla.; her five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 9:15 am Tuesday from Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls and 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church, 32 Lakeside Drive, Verona. Interment to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi, NJ. Visitation Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
