Kathleen C. O'Donnell

Kathleen C. (nee Denzel) O'Donnell, 98, of Ledgewood, passed away on December 19, 2017. Born and raised in Clifton, Mrs. O'Donnell lived in Clifton until moving to Ledgewood 14 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1984, she was employed as an Administrative Records Clerk with Verizon Communications, primarily in Clifton, since 1969. Mrs. O'Donnell earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Montclair State University in 1983. She was a parishioner of St. Therese R.C. Church in Succasunna and a former parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton; and a member of the Clifton Association of Artists.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Joseph O'Donnell, Sr. in 1998; her son, John Joseph (Jack) O'Donnell, Jr. in 2007; two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include: her devoted daughter, Sharon O'Donnell of Ledgewood; four grandchildren; Kelly Bostick, John O'Donnell, Kristin Minogue and Dawn Marie Schafer and her husband, John; and 11 great-grandchildren: Alex Bostick, Kristina Bostick, Hannah Bostick, Zachary O'Donnell, Hannah M. Schafer, Jonah S. Schafer, Selah J. Schafer, Paige Minogue, Alexandra Minogue, Ryan J. Minogue and Terrence J. Hedden.
Visiting will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:45 am from the funeral home and 10:30 am at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.
