Margot M. (nee Barco) Segarra, 68, of Clifton, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017. Born in Ecuador, Mrs. Segarra came to the United States in 1970 and settled in Bronx, New York. She then resided in Jersey City and Upstate New York before moving to Clifton in 2010.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Segarra was employed as a Surgical GI Nursing Technician with Vassar Brother's Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton.
Mrs. Segarra was predeceased by her father, Agustin Barco.
Survivors include: her beloved husband, Victor S. Segarra; two devoted children, Roosevelt V. Segarra and his wife, Gioconda of Clifton and Linda Segarra-Romero and her husband Gustavo of Clifton; four loving grandchildren, Dominic Romero, Arianna Romero, Alexa Romero and Aaron Segarra; her mother, Theresa Garces of Ecuador; three brothers, Agustin, Edgar and Washington Barco; and three sisters, Maritza Pacheco, Yadira Moreira, and Ruth Barco.
Margot's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren; make meals for family gatherings and celebrating life side by side with her husband Victor.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 9 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Entombment to follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair.
