Maria (nee Glodava) Radecka, 85, of Passaic died suddenly on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017.
Born in Lapsze Nizne, Poland, Mrs. Radecka came to the United States in January of 1969 at the age of 37 seeking a better life for her children. Since coming to the United States, she resided in Passaic. She retired as a housekeeper with the former Passaic General Hospital in Passaic. Previous employment was at Presto Lock Co. of Garfield, NJ.
Mrs. Radecka was a parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton. She was a former member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol and a former member of the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Rosary Society.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andrzej Radecki in 1984 and by her two brothers, Stanislav and Jozef Glodava.
Survivors include: her five children, Maria and her husband, Jozef Hudak and Teresa and her husband, Basem Allan, both of Cedar Grove, Jan and his wife, Irena Radecki of Elmwood Park, Andrzej and his wife Katarzyna of Passaic and Jozef Radecki of Passaic; her brother, Jan and his wife, Maria Glodava of Clifton; her ten grandchildren, Renee, Jeffrey, Maryann, Joseph, Christopher, Ashley, Michael, Matthew, Peter, Noelle and her three great granddaughters, Melissa, Jennifer, Kimberly.
Funeral Services will be 9:30 am Tuesday from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Avenue, Clifton and 10:00 am at Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, 218 Ackerman Ave., Clifton, Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visitation on Monday from 4-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
