Marie M. Riker

MARIE M. RIKER of CEDAR GROVE died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Miss Riker resided in Nutley and Belleville before moving to Cedar Grove in 1966. She retired in 1978 as a Teacher at Katherine Gibbs School where she was employed for almost 20 years. Previously, she was secretary to Leon A. Watson, the insurance rating expert for the State of New Jersey.
Miss Riker was a member of First Reformed Church of Little Falls where she had served as the Church Organist. She earned her BA in Mathematics in 1938 from NJ State Teachers College at Montclair, now known as Montclair State University.
She was predeceased by her father, Samuel Riker, on February 1, 1971 and by her mother, Ann M. (nee Jessen) Riker on January 10, 1987.
All are welcome to gather at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls on Monday at 11:30 am for a procession to Crest Haven Memorial Park, cor. Passaic Ave. and Allwood Road, Clifton for a graveside service at 12:00 Noon.
