MARIO AVERSA, 80, of Little Falls died Monday at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack.
Born in St. Andrea Apostolo de Ionio, Calabria, Italy, Mr. Aversa came to the United States in 1968, settling in Little Falls residing there ever since. An electrician by trade, after an injury, Mr. Aversa was employed by the Little Falls Board of Education. He served in the Italian Army and was a member of St. Andrew's Social Club of Woodland Park.
Mr. Aversa was a parishioner of Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Saverio and Giuseppe Aversa.
Survivors include: his wife, Gloria (nee Valenzuela) with whom he was together for 46 years; his two daughters, Sabrina Aversa and her husband, Paul Rodriguez and Vanessa Aversa; his granddaughter, Valentina, all of Little Falls; and his three sisters, Caterina, Vittoria and Gina, all of Italy.
Funeral Services will be 9:00 am Friday from Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls and 9:30 am at Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main St., Little Falls. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visitation on Thursday from 4-8 pm.
