Mary Evans

Mary (nee Staronka) Evans, 95, of Clifton, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Evans moved to Clifton in 1946 where she has resided since. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Evans was employed as an electronics assembler with ADEC Industries in Fairfield. Previous employment was with Tandoi Textile Mills in Passaic. She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul Evans in 2010.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert P. Evans and his wife Barbara of Franklin Lakes, NJ and James J. Evans and his wife Sandra of Montville, NJ; four grandchildren, Robert Brandon Evans, Brooke Lauren Evans, Shelby A. Evans and Connor J. Evans; and three sisters, Eleanor Rocktoff, Sophie Staronka and Ann Kozak.
Visiting will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:45 am from the funeral home and 12:30 pm at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 217 President St., Passaic. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas U.C. Church, 271 President St., Passaic, NJ 07055.
