Mary Ann Fechisin

Mary Ann (nee Tesla) Fechisin, 96, of Clifton, passed away on March 24, 2018. Born in Plaveć, Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Fechisin came to the United States when she was 13 years old. She has lived most of her life in Clifton.
Mrs. Fechisin was a faithful parishioner of St. John the Baptist R.O. Church in Passaic where she was a member of the Mother's Club. She, along with her late sister Pauline, made blankets for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut which was founded by actor Paul Newman. Her friends and relatives have been recipients of her crocheted blankets.
Mrs. Fechisin was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Fechisin, Jr. in 1989; her parents, Valentin and Margaret Tesla; and her siblings, Margaret Tesla, Stefan Tesla, Theresa Waxman and Pauline Knapik.
Survivors include: her devoted children, Betty Ann Fechisin of Clifton and Michael Fechisin, III of Henderson, NV; and many nieces and nephews; grand nieces and nephews; a great-great-grandnephew and a great-great-grandniece.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Parastas Tuesday 4:30 pm. The Funeral will be held Wednesday 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Service at St. John the Baptist R.O. Church, 170 Lexington Ave., Passaic. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, 555 Long Wharf Drive, New Haven, CT 06511 (www.holeinthewallgang.com). Mrs. Fechisin was very optimistic and really loved being alive. Remember her by also enjoying life.
