Michael Fisher, 94, of Clifton passed away peacefully on Monday, August 20, 2018.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Mr. Fisher had resided in Clifton since 1962. He was employed as carpenter with Erie Lackawanna Railroad, Hoboken, NJ for over 30 years before his retirement. He was a parishioner of St. Paul RC Church in Clifton where he was also a member of the Leisure Club. Mr. Fisher was also a United States Army Veteran of World War II. Above all else, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Fisher was predeceased by his wife, the former, Florence E. Klepadlo; by his parents, John and Catherine Fisher; by his four brothers, John, Joseph Steve and Woshko Fisher; by his four sisters, Annie Markovich, Julie Nohomovich, Mary Zawadzki and Jean Kolis; by his grandson, Mark Steven Fisher; and by his son-in-law, Glenn Gardner.
He is survived by his three devoted children: Michael J. Fisher and his wife, Nancy P., of Byram Township, Mary Kay Novaco and her husband, Robert, of Clifton and Judy A. Gardner of Butler; six grandchildren: Michael C., Robert J. and his wife, Tina, Alexis M. and her husband, Daniel, Glenn T., Jr. and his wife, Amanda, Derrick M. and his wife, Cailen and Gary T.; and by four great-grandchildren, Madison, Brianna, Kaleigh and Robbie.
Funeral services will be Friday 10:15 am from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton and 11:00 am at St. Paul RC Church, cor. Union Avenue and Second Street, Clifton. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Visiting Thursday 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be preferred and appreciated.
