Noreen M. Pierce

Noreen Ann Myers Pierce died unexpectedly on June 4, 2017 in Fairfield, NJ at the age of 89. She was born on February 9, 1928 in Cedar Grove, NJ to Rose Oxland Myers and Seymour Myers. She worked at New Jersey Bell as an operator for many years where she was introduced to her future husband, George Pierce by her coworker and they married on March 3, 1951. They have been happily married for 66 years. A den mother, Sunday school teacher, Dorcas member and longtime member of the Fairfield Reformed Church and Caldwell United Methodist Church, she was passionate about faith, family and friends.
She was a devoted mother of Gail Plumstead and her husband Glenn, Alan Pierce and his wife Leslie and Eric Pierce and his wife Donna. She was a beloved Grandmother to 12 grandchildren Tracy Ripa (Tony), Kelly Winkler (Brian), Jill Totka (Evan), Kate Pierce (Vinny), Scott Plumstead (Nicole), Alissa Pierce, Sarah Inglis (Kevin), Nicole Kosmack (Kevin), Tim Pierce (Samantha), Taylor Pierce, Kevin Pierce and Abbey Pierce and 16 great-grandchildren Bailey, Owen, Ciana, Cooper, Kylie, Henry, Giuliana, George, Joseph, Norah, Madison, Jack, Olivia, Ben, Tyler and Mackenzie.
She was a warrior and successfully battled melanoma 17 years ago. As a result of her generous spirit and warm personality, she was loved by many and her influence will remain in the lives of all who knew her.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:30 am Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Caldwell United Methodist Church, followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery in Fairfield, NJ. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6:30-9:00 pm at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. All are welcome to celebrate Noreen's life.
