Norma (nee Manzanedo) Llanes, 76, of Clifton, passed away on April 20, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Born in Camaguey, Cuba, Mrs. Llanes fled communist Cuba with her family in 1966 and relocated to Spain. She then came to the United States in 1968 settling in Passaic where she resided with her beloved family for much of her life. For the last 20 years, Mrs. Llanes has been a Clifton resident. Before her retirement, she was employed with Keystone Camera in Clifton for 20 years until their closing in 1992. Mrs. Llanes had been a parishioner of St. Nicholas R.C. Church in Passaic.
Survivors include: her beloved husband, Juan Llanes of 56 years; two devoted daughters, Maria Karaszegi and her husband, Imre of Passaic and Adriana Canals and her husband Alex of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Alexandra Canals-Prieto, Priscilla Canals and Imre Karaszegi, III; two great-grandchildren, Giselle and Eric Prieto; and seven brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Llanes was predeceased by three brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 9 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Entombment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 3 Eves Drive, Suite 301, Marlton, NJ 08053.
