Ovidio "Vito" Vargas

Ovidio "Vito" Vargas, 62, of Paterson, passed away on June 6, 2017. Born in Santa Barbara de Heredia, Costa Rica, Mr. Vargas came to the United States when he was 18 years old and settled in Paterson. He had been employed as a forklift operator for the Coca-Cola Co. for 30 years in Parsippany and then the last five years in Carlstadt before retiring this past May.
Mr. Vargas was a former parishioner of St. George R.C. Church in Paterson.
He was predeceased by: a daughter, Baby Christina; his parents, Eduardo and Ana (Solis) Vargas; one sister, Doris Vargas; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Dorothy Stanton; and one brother-in-law, Bill Stanton.
Survivors include: his devoted wife, Dolores (nee Stanton); one sister, Vera Vargas; two brothers, Eduardo and Orlando Vargas; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Murphy, Carolyn Altieri and her husband, Nicholas and Marion Stanton; one brother-in-law, Thomas Stanton; two aunts, Doris Neeson and Josephine Stanton; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:15 am from the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. Paul R.C. Church, 124 Union Avenue, Clifton. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
