PEARL (nee Barra) COUTURE, 79, of Garfield died Monday.
Born in Nagy Kopos, Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Couture came to the United States in 1947 settling first in Passaic before moving to Garfield in 1953. She had been employed at Servo Tech, formerly of Hawthorne before retiring.
Mrs. Couture was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Passaic.
She was predeceased by her brother, Zigmund Barra.
Survivors include: her husband of 59 years, Arthur G. Couture, Sr.; her two sons, Arthur G. Couture, Jr. of Toms River, NJ and Robert P. Couture and his wife, Edna of Garfield; her brother, Nicholas Barra and his wife, Peggy of Rochelle Park, NJ; her two grandchildren, Melody A. and Elias L. Couture and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:15 am Friday from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton and 11:00 am at Hungarian Reformed Church of Passaic, 220 Fourth St., Passaic. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation on Thursday from 7-9 pm with a Wake Service at 8:00 pm.
