Richard Emil Brookhart

BROOKHART - Richard Emil, 86, of Little Falls passed away on April 22, 2017.
Born in Lima, OH, Mr. Brookhart lived in Little Falls for most of his life. Prior to retirement, he was the owner of Axelrod Foods Distributorship of Paterson. Mr. Brookhart was a proud Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Little Falls United Methodist Church, the VFW Post in Little Falls and the U.S. Army 25th Infantry Division Organization based in Hawaii. He enjoyed saltwater fishing in Montauk, Maryland, the Jersey shore and the Florida Keys.
Mr. Brookhart was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lois (nee Harriott) in 1994 and by three brothers: Frank, Donald and Paul Brookhart.
He is survived by his two children: Keith Brookhart and his wife, Julieta, of Little Falls and Nancy Venezia and her husband, James, of Totowa; two brothers: Robert Brookhart of Massachusetts and John Brookhart of New Mexico; and three grandchildren: Tyler Venezia, Dina Venezia and Heather Brookhart.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:30am at the Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Interment Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Visiting will be prior to the service on Wednesday morning from 10-11:30am.
