Richard G. McLeod

Richard Gerard McLeod, 63, of Oak Ridge passed away suddenly on Thursday December 5, 2019.
Born and raised in Newark, Rich moved with his family to Maplewood when he was sixteen and then lived in Clifton before moving to Oak Ridge twenty-eight years ago. He was employed with PSEG for over ten years, most recently in the position of Safety Watcher. Prior to PSEG, Rich had owned Ciccone's Deli in West Caldwell for five years. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Oak Ridge and was an avid New York Yankees and New York Jets fan and had a lifelong love of model trains.
Rich was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Nancy (nee Ciccone) McLeod.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Maryellen (nee Surma) McLeod, of Oak Ridge; his three devoted children: Richard Andrew McLeod and his wife, Kristen Giancaterino, of Scotch Plains, Trish McLeod of Byram and Nicholas Joseph McLeod and his wife, Brittney, of Ogdensburg; two cherished grandsons: Jackson Gerard McLeod and Owen Henry McLeod as well as one expected grandchild; his dear sister, Phyllis Ann Kinnally and her husband, Rick, of West Caldwell; and loved nephew and Godson, James Kinnally, also of West Caldwell.
Visiting will be Sunday from 2-6pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Monday 9:15am from the funeral home and 10:00am at Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, 218 Ackerman Avenue, Clifton. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the National Shrine of Saint Gerard, c/o St. Lucy RC Church, 118 Seventh Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 would be preferred and appreciated.
