Robert J. Fischer, Jr.

Robert J. Fischer, Jr., 69, of Clifton passed away peacefully on March 27, 2018.
Born in Scranton, PA, Mr. Fischer was raised in Tinton Falls and had lived in Clifton for the past thirty-four years. Prior to retiring, he had been employed in the pharmaceutical industry for thirty-five years and in retirement, volunteered teaching English as a Second Language at the Crossroads Cultural Center in Clifton. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Fischer is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen (nee Dunleavy) Fischer, of Clifton; two devoted sons: Sean Fischer and his wife, Sheriann, of Clifton and Rob Fischer, also of Clifton; a sister, Barbara Sommers of Massachusetts and a brother, Frederick Fischer and his wife, Kathleen, of Florida; nephew Brian Sommers of Massachusetts; and three cherished grandchildren: Madison Mae, Sophia Grace and Ryan Joseph.
Visiting will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be Tuesday beginning 9:15 am from the funeral home and 10:00 at St. Paul RC Church, cor. Union Avenue and Second Street, Clifton. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to McQuaid Jesuit High School, James J. Fischer, SJ Education Fund, 1800 South Clinton Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618 would be preferred and appreciated.
