Rocco J. Marchegiani

Rocco J. Marchegiani, 91, of Clifton, passed away on July 6, 2017. Born in Garfield, Mr. Marchegiani resided in Clifton for over 60 years. Before retirement, he was employed with Baskinger's Liquor Store. Previous employment for 38 years was with Jerald D. Lacy Co. of Paterson.
Mr. Marchegiani was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served honorably during World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Brendan R.C. Church in Clifton and a member of the 20th Century Athletic Club in Garfield for many years.
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 68 years, Julia; two daughters, Karen Argieri and her husband, Joseph, of Nutley and Donna Drexler and her husband, John, of Clifton; one sister, Jean Marchegiani of Florida; two grandchildren, Louis Argieri and his wife Kristen of Nutley and Matthew Drexler of Clifton; and twin great-granddaughters, Gianna and Lucia Argieri.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:15 am from the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. Brendan R.C. Church, Lakeview Avenue, Clifton. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's New Jersey, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
