Rosemary Gumann

Rosemary (nee Holzli) Gumann, 85, of Oakland formerly of Clifton, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017.
Born in Clifton she resided in Jersey City for a few years then moved to the Passaic-Clifton area. For a number of years Rosemary and her late husband, Ernie operated Ernie's Deli in Rutherford until his retirement in 1988. She then was a receptionist at her son-in-law's company, Jet Precision, Hawthorne until her retirement. Mrs. Gumann was a parishioner of St. Stephen's R.C. Church, Passaic.
She is predeceased by her husband, Ernest; her daughter, Rose Demeter; her son-in-law, Steven Kirk; and her parents, Steve and Rozalia (nee Frast) Holzli.
Survivors include her five daughters, Mary Welks and her husband, Neil of Aiken, SC, Theresa Iannucci and her husband, Lou of Oakland, Katherine Portello and her husband, Dave of Elmwood Park, Jeanette
Lo Pinto and her husband, Anthony of Chestnut Ridge, NY and Elizabeth Burns and her husband, Mike of Wanaque; her son-in-law, Stephen Demeter and his wife, Karen of Middletown, Delaware; her brother, John Holzli of Newton; nine grandchildren, January Welks, Christina Moran and her husband, Randy, Elena Bley and her husband, Justin, Matthew Iannucci, Peter Kirk and his wife, Amanda, Isabella Lo Pinto, Alexander Lo Pinto, Kalee Burns and Lainey Burns; and two great-grandchildren, Theo Satrazemis and Madelyn Kirk.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Funeral Services 9:15 am Thursday from the Funeral Home and 10:00 am Mass at St. Stephen's R.C. Church, 223 Third Street, Passaic. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
