Stephanie "Penny" Corbo

Stephanie "Penny" (nee Potter) Corbo, 84, of Pompton Plains, formerly of Glen Ridge, passed away on July 6, 2018. Born in Newark, she had been a Glen Ridge resident for most of her life, before moving to Punta Gorda, FL, then more recently residing in Pompton Plains, N.J. She worked alongside her husband Alan, at Corbo Jewelers for many years. Mrs. Corbo was an avid sanctioned bridge player, and also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alan Corbo, in 2013; and by her son, Alan Corbo Jr. ,in 1996.
Survivors include: her daughter, Cathy Corbo, of Mount Arlington, N.J.; her sons, Stephen Corbo, and his wife Ellen, of Clifton, N.J.; Michael Corbo, and his wife Rosemary, of Montville, N.J.; her daughter-in-law, Suzanne Corbo, of Glen Rock, N.J.; and also by 10 loving grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Tuesday July 10, 2018, 9:15am at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Followed by a 10am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Rd., Clifton. Private cremation to follow. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, N.J. 07601 would be appreciated.
