Susan Martorano

Susan Jane (McGauley) Martorano died peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at her home in Little Falls. Susan was born on September 28, 1948 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Thomas and Rita (Daly) McGauley.
Susan attended elementary school at Holy Angels in Little Falls, high school at DePaul in Wayne, as well as Passaic Valley High School in Little Falls, where she graduated in 1967. After graduation from secretarial school, she worked at Prudential Insurance Company in Newark and Wayne.
Susan had a hidden talent for drawing. When she was in her teens, she would sketch the 'Draw Me' ads on the matchbook covers with ease. She enjoyed having fun with friends, going to BBQs, going to the beach, swimming, dancing, traveling, and eating good food. She was a past member of the American Legion in Saddle Brook.
Susan is predeceased by her husband, Frank Martorano, of East Rutherford, and her mother, M. Rita (Daly) McGauley, of Little Falls.
She is survived by her (father) Thomas; (brother) David of San Raphael, CA; (sister) Janis Gabriel and her husband Jack, of Morro Bay, CA; (brother) Mark and his wife Janet, of Little Falls; and (nephews) Sean Gabriel and Matthew McGauley.
